We believe that when you believe in something you need to share and spread that belief. When we chose to set up this mission to share the word and works of Jesus with religious group cruises we did not know what to expect. We donate proceeds from any of these group travels to local missions in the North Carolina area. Please join us on our next cruise
When the name of this mission came to me I was sitting in my churches cafe watching the end of our first service and getting ready to go into our second service. God put three words into my head at the time for religious group cruises - Cruising with Jesus. That has since matured into Cruise Ship Cruising with Christ a Christian cruise travel mission
With this group our intent is to spread the teachings of Jesus while sailing on various itineraries throughout the world. We realize that we don't always focus on Christ while we are on vacation but we feel what is a better time then when you are experiencing paradise! We plan to have multiple Christian cruise travel trips to multiple destinations. The goal on each trip is to provide opportunities to get together and learn more about our spiritual growth as well as visit historical areas of the Christian religion.
We all have our own journey and I wanted to share mine and why I am so dedicated to this group in particular. With all that is going on in the world we need Jesus more than ever.
I always start my story with the fact that I have always believed - it took me a while to begin to follow however. I did not attend church regularly and just kind of went through the motions. It wasn't until my life began to fall apart that I realized how bad I was. I refer to it as convivence Christianity - when it's convenient I will follow.
It all changed when my ankle got infected and I ended up having a below the knee amputation. This is what really changed my life - why is simple - my church has a very active prayer group and I will tell you they prayed! I have never felt prayer before but this time I most certainly did. My recovery even amazed the Doctors. I spent one week in the hospital and was supposed to go to a rehab facility for 2 weeks. Well as it turns out I was well enough and mobile enough to skip the rehab and go straight home. Additionally I was not expected to walk again until after Christmas of that year but I was in a prosthetic and walking unassisted before Thanksgiving. In fact the weekend I began walking was the same weekend that we joined our church as full members!
This experience allowed me to look back on events that have happened throughout my lifetime. I could not believe the number of times GOD was there to protect and guide me. I finally showed me that even though I was not a full follower he was still there for me to protect me. It would take way too long to write out all the times HE was there for me but I am happy to share them with anyone who wishes to ask.
I brings me to the story of this group. While I was in my churches cafe waiting for our second service to start I was scrolling on my phone and three words came to me - "Cruising with Jesus". I further refined the name purely "by accident" when I made our Facebook page to "Cruising with Christ". Seeing how many groups where carrying similar names I added cruise ship to the group to be more specific. I am not sure what GOD has in store for this group but I'm going to continue to move forward and keep spreading the word. I hope this helps everyone to see that this is not just a group -to me this is a mission to spread HIS word
